Shaz Bartlett is the heart behind Bartlett and Associates. She has an LLB Qualification and is currently busy with her Masters Degree in Family Law.

She has always wanted to study law. A dream that finaly became a reality when she started practicing law 5 years ago. Since then, she has been involved in 3 cases surrounding the protection of childrens' rights that were published in various newspapers.

Shaz's primary field of practice is divorce, custody and access matters with maintenance and protection orders. She also has experience in a variety of civil litigation matters.

Dee Horsman is the Office Manager at Bartlett & Associates and manages the day-to-day matters concerning the practice.

Dee started as a Legal Secretary in 1997 and worked her way up while working for various law firms since then.

She has a vast knowledge of the legal systems and procedures in both Lower and High Courts.


Deidre (Dee) Hill is bookkeeper with over 25 years' worth of experience.

Dee started working as Personal Assistant in 1984, but soon got involved on the Debtors / Credits side of business and have worked herself up from there. She has a wide range of knowledge and experience in the bookkeeping field and vast experience on software programs such as Lotus, IFT, Namos and Pastel, just to name a few.

Dee will be handling the day to day financial side of our business.

Nonhlanhla Mngcisane, a legal secretary at Bartlett and Associates. She is currently an LLB student at UNISA.

She was raised by a single mother, due to certain life experiences and being exposed to certain injustices in the communities she has resided in, she developed a passion for children and domestic abuse. She aspires to provide legal services that transform a distasteful situation into an amicable situation, to ensure that the best interests are prioritized. She is currently doing a short course in law and aspires to use it as a bridging course to further her studies.


Njabulo Thabethe joined the firm started out as the receptionist.  She has progressed to being appointed as the Personal Assistant to the Director.

She has a Legal Studies Degree from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College and is currently studying her LLB.

She is passionate about the need for justice and Africa's socio-economic development.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading books by local authors and enjoys going to the beach and listening to music to rejuvenate.


  Kerusha Naicker joined the firm recently to commence her articles as a Candidate Attorney.

She completed her LLB in 2019 at The University of KwaZulu-Natal, Howard College.

She has a passion for helping people in need and seeing justice restored.

In her spare time she enjoys watching television, playing the guitar, baking and socialising.
